Over 1,000 top restaurants are sorted according to nationality and the described extensively and with lots of useful information. So you don´t just see the symbol for the restaurant on your SatNav but also some pictures of the restaurant itself and useful information like the name, address, opening hours, telephone number, fax, email and internet address (if available), specialities, head chef, price list for main dishes and number of dining places.
Further details such as a description of the premises, partly including pictures, the payment options and extras (parking, guest rooms) complete this especially attractive service.
Part of the information (name, opening time, telephone number) is shown directly on the navigation screen. The other details can be called up by clicking on the menu (TomTom/Navigon/Medion) or by clicking on the POI (Navigon MN|4). Through the installation of the Merian Restaurant Guide on a personal organiser or on a storage card it is possible to view the data without needing an internet connection. That way all the information is ready whenever you need it.
The one-off cost for using the Merian Restaurant Guide is 9 Euros for a period of 12 months (equivalent to 0.75cent a month). In a service packet with other premium content the Restaurant Guide costs only 6 Euros.
You can continue to use the data after your update subscription has expired, but updating the data is only possible then if the subscription is renewed.
